Manga University's USA Tour!
Manga University has announced a coast-to-coast tour of the United States this spring that will include stops at six of the nation’s biggest pop culture and book conventions.
March 1st, 2010 -- The three-month tour will kick off in Seattle (Sakura-Con, April 2-4), then head to Chicago (C2E2, April 16-18), Los Angeles (LA Times Festival of Books, April 24-25), New York (Book Expo America, May 25-27), the San Francisco Bay Area (FanimeCon, May 28-31), and Los Angeles again (Anime Expo, July 1-4).

Manga University Workshop with Atsuhisa Okura: How to Draw Backgrounds
February 1st, 2010 - Manga University brings you a face-to-face tutorial from Atsuhisa Okura, author of Moe USA and illustrator of 50 Things We Love About Japan.In this workshop, Okura-sensei demonstrates how to draw a basic background using single-point perspective. You'll also learn how to draw people and props in proportion to your backdrop.

StepMania the Manga premieres today!
January 28th, 2010 - Manga University's all-new original manga StepMania: The Manga, makes its debut today! Made in consultation with the StepMania game's creator, Chris Danford, and written by up-and-coming Japanese manga artist Uno Shino, StepMania: The Manga follows the exploits of a brash high-schooler named Yukino as she is thrown headfirst into the world of StepMania by her best friend and veteran dancer, Momo, who works at the local arcade.The first issue goes live today with more to come every Monday and Thursday! Manga University has been creating trading cards for the BJ-League (Japan's professional basketball association) since their first All-Star Game in 2006. This time we’ve pulled out all the stops to create a gorgeous set of 21 full-color cards. The drawings are a striking mixture of traditional American sports caricature and Japanese action manga that are sure to appeal to sports and comic fans alike.
Our BJ-League All-Star Trading Cards are produced in extremely small numbers and are a rare collectible among Japanese basketball fanatics, but this year we’ve secured a few dozen sets to sell worldwide!
